A Sweet Start, on September 4, provides an opportunity to kick off the new school year with candy box photos, ice cream, and a Welcome Week t-shirt giveaway! Stop by with your friends or meet some new ones! Skate Night on September 9 brings an outdoor roller-skating rink right to upper campus while the Quadfest Block Party on September 10, OSILD’s annual collaboration with Chartwells and the Alumni Office, features an exciting menu, inflatables, and more!

The Commuter Activities Board, LGBTQ+ Alliance, Student Senate, Drag Club, and Student Events Committee are also hosting events during Welcome Week. See the schedule below, or learn more on their Instagrams!

Whether you are attending one of these exciting events or supporting our WSU Lancers at one of their first home games, we can not wait to kick off the school year with you!

Fresh Check Day is an uplifting event that focuses on college mental health and suicide prevention and is��returning to campus for the ninth year. This interactive fair includes student-run booths, peer-to-peer messaging, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways. In addition to being fun, this event is effective with 87% of students saying they were more likely to seek help if experiencing emotional distress after attending.

Fresh Check Day is truly a community event. Last year we had over 400 students and more than 20 student groups and WSU departments participating. Fresh Check Day is sponsored by��Counseling Services, Active Minds,,��OSILD,��Recreation and Wellness,��Residence Life, and��Student Accessibility Services.

Fresh Check Day is the signature event of the Jordan Porco Foundation. It is held on college campuses throughout the country.

The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Development (OSILD) is proud to share that they are hosting the fourth annual campus Student Leadership Symposium. This multi-day leadership experience will feature a variety of workshops, and conclude with a Young Alumni Panel & Reception. This is a great opportunity for students to enhance their leadership knowledge and skills while learning from members of the Ģ������Ƶ State community.

The 2023 Leadership Symposium will conclude with a��Young Alumni Panel and Reception on Wednesday, March 8 at 5:30pm. This panel is a unique opportunity to learn from young alum about how their leadership experiences at Ģ������Ƶ State prepared them for their careers. Advanced registration is required.
